X The Text - lets end distracted driving

On June 25th, 2020, my life took an unexpected turn when I became a part of a distressing statistic. I was involved in a life-altering incident due to distracted driving, an experience that motivated me to embark on a personal mission. This initiative is dedicated to raising awareness and actively preventing similar accidents from occurring in the future. It is disheartening to learn that over 425,000  accidents are caused by distracted driving each year.
Building upon my  experiences as a local titleholder, I have taken concrete steps to establish a scholarship in Casey's honor. (Please click Caseys picture to read her story below) I am  diligently worked to raise  a college scholarship fund that will empower deserving students. This scholarship will recognize and reward their dedication to promoting distraction-free driving.
Below a student can submit an essay on how they can help their community on the dangers of distracted driving and what they can do to put an end to distracted driving once and for all.
One student will be chosen to receive a $1500 scholarship check written to the college they attend.  Students please submit your essay below.

Scholarship closes April 1, 2024

a night with the civic club

I had the honor of connecting with the extraordinary women of the Wildwood Civic Club. These remarkable individuals are highly dedicated to their community, tirelessly striving to foster education and cultivate leadership through their extensive community involvement.
I was deeply grateful when these incredible ladies kindly invited me to speak about my CSI initiative to end distracted driving.

EndDD.org is Committed to Reducing Crashes Caused by Distracted Driving.

EndDD.org (End Distracted Driving) is a campaign of the Casey Feldman Foundation. Casey was 21 when she was killed by a distracted driver in Ocean City, NJ.  She was struck while walking in a crosswalk on a beautiful summer day. The distracted driver said he never saw her.

Following Casey’s death her parents, Joel Feldman and Dianne Anderson, created EndDD.org and have worked to keep all of us safer on the roads from distracted drivers. Joel has personally given more than 900 presentations to about 200,000 students and adults. Joel’s talks range from schools to all types of businesses. EndDD.org provides speakers for school presentations, as well as community and business presentations.

I have been passionately speaking to students across the state of New Jersey, utilizing enddd.org's lesson plans as a catalyst for change.
